On day 1 of my unemployment, I thought to myself…no problem! With 10+ years of work experience, at a reputable fortune 500 company, and advance degrees…I’ll land another position in no time.

“Boy, was I wrong!”

One day became one week…then one month…then one year…and eventually 5+ years of unemployment. Becoming fully employed after long term unemployment has been one of my greatest challenges thus far.

I’ve heard many hash words such as:

‘…obsolete skills…not qualified…over qualified…we found a better match…etc.’

With so many ‘no’s my confidence, self-esteem, and self-value has definitely taken a beating. 

After 5 years of trial and error, I now know what works and what doesn’t. It would be my pleasure to shorten your trial period by sharing my lessons.
