One of my biggest fears was speaking in pubic. I’ve conquered that fear by putting myself outside of my comfort zone…by doing the thing I most feared…speaking in public. I joined toastmasters, developed my speaking skills, learned about pitch, rate of speech, and transitional words that help the conversation flow seamlessly, like water down a river in a nice spring day. Amazingly, I have transformed my biggest fear into one of my biggest passions. After completing 45+ speeches, volunteering for 5+ years of leadership and mentorship roles, competing in speech contests and more+++…I have earned the highest award for Toastmasters members…The Distinguished Toastmasters Award. I have also helped my clubs reached the highest club goals in multiple years…The Presidents Distinguished award. Most importantly, I have helped members reach their personal goals with all aspects of public speaking, speech delivery, and communicating effectively. Below is one of my favorite speeches.
